Team Lead Outfitting Engineer is a key member of a multidisciplinary team, reporting directly to the Engineering Project Manager. This role involves functional leadership of approximately 10 Engineers. The Senior Engineer maintains communication with clients, suppliers, production teams, project stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire delivery process, from initial client proposals to handover to production, for engineering items such as movable pool bottoms (glass), retractable TV screens, doors, glass sliding panels, and more. Detail engineering encompasses interdisciplinary system integration of these elements into the exterior design, focusing on feasibility studies for outdoor furniture, kitchens, polished stairs/railings, pools, and more.

In this position, you'll need a solid grasp of construction processes, experience in organizing tasks, and adeptness in working with schedules. You must possess the ability to maintain a comprehensive overview of the project and adjust as necessary. Familiarity with translating Naval Architects/Designers' drawings into actionable plans for in-house production and suppliers is essential.

About you

We require a minimum of a completed vocational education (MBO) at level 4, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Woodworking, Furniture (ship and yacht building), or Industrial Design, supplemented by several years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both written and verbal, is necessary, along with proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD applications. In short, we seek a technically adept individual with excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive, cost-conscious approach to problem-solving.

Key criteria also include:

• 3 to 5 years of leadership experience
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of NX or Catia or other High-End software packages
• Familiarity with yacht building is advantageous (aircraft manufacturing is also considered)
• Familiarity with Teamcenter is a plus
• Experience in creating detailed drawings.
