As a Lead Engineer you are responsible of ensuring a coordinated, integrated, high-quality and timely elaboration of the final design. You do this together with team to whom you provide functional leadership. Your team takes care of the detail engineering, 3D models and various datasheets.
In the Special Engineering department, solutions for doors, shutters, railing and sun protection are devised and designed. Designing these solutions involves a lot of work. For example, we think about the use of materials, the various applicable production techniques, assembly, use, costs, manufacturability and much more, before the solution can be taken into production. You advise and guide your team and work together on the best possible solutions.
About you
For this role we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture (or similar)
- Several years of experience in yacht building engineering
- Experience in leading a (small) team
- Knowledge of production techniques and experience with manufacturability of parts to be engineered is important.
- Experience with the CAD drawing package and Rhino are big plus.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations such as Lloyd's, Solas and Large Yacht Code is advantageous.
